Pretty at PYNK
It’s as easy as ABC or 1-2-3. You’re one PYT who needs some TLC, but who’s gonna take you there?
We know just the spot. Just beat it over to PYNK, the new full-service salon opening Friday in Chinatown.
An acronym for Pretty Young N Kreative, the salon’s name reflects the range of services they offer beyond basic haircuts. Owners Shelly Obata and Thalita Teixeira will treat customers to cuts and color, but also Japanese straight perms (they’re experts), and specialty shaves for men. The salon will also offer services like the Infrared Body Wrap, which heats up the body and is said to burn off calories quick, while helping you sweat out harmful toxins.
Mark your calendar for their grand opening party on Friday, when they’ll team up with Otto Cake for yummy treats, and a fashion show from labels including Roberta Oaks, Anne Namba, Custo Barcelona, and The Butik. Plus, guests can take advantage of haircuts for under $20. And the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. So go on, don’t stop till you get enough.
Once you’re all done up, you’ll have your friends saying, “Ooh where did you come from, and oh, won’t you take me there?”
PYNK Salon, 40 N. Hotel St., Chinatown, 808.561.0514. Grand opening party is this Friday. Doors open to the general public at 7 p.m. Click here for more info.
