Pet-ography

Deb McGuire took her first pet photo when she was 14, and since then, her passion for animals has only grown. Her human clients often treat the photographs of their pets as pieces of fine art, rather than snapshots, and purchase poster-size prints to mount on their walls. McGuire sets up photo sessions at the pets’ favorite beach, park or even beloved spot on the couch, to help them relax. Then she waits for the right moment: “I stay as long as it takes to get a great shot,” says McGuire. Sure, she’s been bitten a few times, but what photographer hasn’t encountered a diva or two?
