Panoramas at every level

There are quite a few nice houses with nice views in the Koko Kai area, but not too many have the kind of views offered at 133 Lumahai St. The ocean panorama is so vast, it’s difficult to take a photo that captures it all, so I took a video from one of its three decks to show how breathtaking it is.

Most, if not all, of the rooms in the house have large windows and open floor plans so you can see the ocean no matter where you are.

The house itself stands out as a newer home, having been built in 1987 and remodeled in 1991 and 2009. With more than 4,000 square feet of living area on a 13,875 square-foot lot, there’s plenty of personal space anywhere in the home. The large master suite, in fact, is so private, it’s almost its own living area.

Another feature is the huge chef’s kitchen with soaring double-height open beamed ceilings, lots of counter space for cooking (or eating), and more than enough shelves and storage for gadgets and spices.

"Since it’s so open, it’s great for entertaining," says realtor Jeffrey Fox. "When you’re alone, the space allows for quiet meditation. The tropical waterfall at the pool really helps to enhance that tranquil setting."

Meditating to that view will probably create mental zen space to let your thoughts breathe, too.
