Open house pick of the week: Waipahu

When realtor Vicki Yu first told me about this two-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse at Parkglen At Waikele in Waipahu, she was still in the process of getting the unit ready before it hit the market three days ago.

 “Parkglen has a more spacious building layout than other developments in Waikele,” says Yu of Century 21 Kailua Beach Realty. “Keiki can safely walk to the elementary school within five minutes without crossing the street.”  

Yu has also mentioned that when she started talking with the owner about selling, one other unit at Parkglen came on the market and went into escrow within a week. Right now, there are no other townhomes in the complex available, so this ground-floor unit won’t last long.

Traffic gods willing, you’ll be about 20 minutes from downtown Honolulu, and you’re five minutes away from the Central Oahu Regional Park, which features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 20 tennis courts and several recreation areas.
