Open House Pick of the Week: Waialae Iki
Architectural design makes this hilltop home an interesting find.

There are about 10 listings available on Waialae Iki right now, but this one — located closer to the top of the hill — is probably one of the most eye-catching, which is why we chose it for our open house pick.
If you’ve ever been to the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, you’ll understand why it was an inspiration for this home. The exterior design alone makes a dramatic statement, but the open, flowing floor plan inside is also eye-catching.
Since it’s a rim lot near the top of Waialae Iki, the home features floor-to-ceiling glass windows to take in the ocean views from Koko Head to Diamond Head. You can also just check out the views from the partially enclosed 428-sq. ft. deck, which is large enough for entertaining guests. Oh, and for your sunset entertaining, just grab a bottle of wine from the customized wine cellar.
The two-story house is spacious, with 3,047 sq. ft. of living area three bedrooms, two bathrooms and one half bath. There’s ample parking in the garage, driveway and street, too. When you need to work out, there’s no pool, but head over to the tennis court. The first open house is this Sunday, August 31, from 2 to 5 p.m. Click here for more details. Happy house hunting!
