Open House pick of the week: secluded Manoa
![]() |
It’s an older house and it doesn’t look like much, but believe me, this listing at 2431 Parker Pl. is a hot property.
People are excited about this three bedroom, two bathroom, 1,234 square-foot home because it’s in a part of Manoa that’s rarely available and sits on a large, 7,844 square foot lot. On top of that, although it’s convenient to Manoa Marketplace and the University of Hawaii, the neighborhood itself is tucked away from the main drag and the house is at the end of a private lane. It’s easy to find, but only if you’re looking for it.

The home’s cathedral ceilings and skylights open up the interior to make it look larger, which is a nice touch. The kitchen, which is pretty spacious and open, features Corian countertops (which I actually prefer over granite, for some reason). Also, the built-ins are ideal if you want to convert a room to a den, office, or craft area.
These little details are great, but in the end, it all comes down to location, which is this home’s biggest feature. The broker’s open on Wednesday was busy, and I expect it to be again on Sunday.
Happy house hunting!
