Open house pick of the week: Mililani Mauka
|
I often struggle with profiling homes in Mililani and Ewa because they’re in master-planned communities, so are most likely very cookie-cutter by nature. Realtor Wendy Watanabe of Prudential Locations, however, assures me her listing is different.
“It’s a unique model in the Colonial Series, not like one of those standard houses,” she says. “For one thing, not all Mililani homes have big yards. This one is on a rim lot, which makes itmore desirable. You have all this ag land behind you that you can use, that can never be developed.
“The home is also on a cul-de-sac, which is another desirable feature in this area,” adds Watanabe. “And the driveway is huge—you can park six cars in it.”

It was recently remodeled with brand new flooring throughout the entire home, porcelain tile in the kitchens and bathrooms, Brazilian cherry laminate wood flooring downstairs and new carpet in the stairway and all bedrooms. The light colored cabinetry in the kitchen is uniform throughout the house, and the kitchen window looks out over the natural landscape beyond the lot’s yard. There is a large outdoor lanai space for entertaining, as well. (Click here for details.)
There are four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a family room on the second floor of this 1,971-square-foot home. The formal living room is downstairs, plus a half bath.
It’s been a popular choice for house hunters: Watanabe says she had 24 groups come through the home last Sunday, and had four showings this week.
“People are looking and are interested because inventory is so tight. They’re now just trying to figure out the pricing/financing,” she explains. Of the other homes in the area, the next closely priced home is about $100,000 more, in the Legacy Series.
This home will be open on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Happy house hunting!
