Open house pick of the week: Ewa Sun Terra

After the glamour homes of this week, I thought we should get back to reality with a home that most people would be shopping for. This one is an unusual and large house in the Sun Terra subdivision in Ewa. (Click here for details.)
Sun Terra is a zero-lot-line subdivision, meaning that in most cases, you can't walk completely around the perimeter of your house. This one, due to its location at the end of a dead end (and it's the only one on the cul-de-sac), is the only home in the area that allows you to do so. In addition, the lot is almost 7,500 square feet, so there's room to putter or play.

On top of that, the owners upgraded the exterior so there are eaves around the entire structure. "It's like having a lanai around the whole house," says realtor Charmaine Quilt Poki of Prudential Locations.

The inside of the spacious 1,922-square-foot home is just as impressive, with laminate wood flooring and a renovated kitchen that features granite counters, custom cabinets and a cooking island. The family room is a new addition, and there are two extra storage units outside that are included in the sale.

There are 2.5 bathrooms and four bedrooms, one of which has a gorgeous golf course view. That bedroom isn't the master, however, so you may want to convert the rooms. Poki says another option is to extend the home on top to get more of the golf course vista.
Check it out this Sunday. Happy house hunting!
