Open house pick of the week: Ala Moana
|
I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries lately from readers moving to Hawaii and looking for condo units in metro Honolulu. I should point out that Clarke Reilly and I aren’t realtors; however, the listors on the properties we feature are. If any of these residences catch your eye, chances are the realtors in our blogs know of several similar ones you may like.
One very convenient condo is Yacht Harbor Towers, which gets 77 points on Walkscore.com. Even if you don’t have a car, it’s across the street from Ala Moana Center, where most buses come through to get you to most points on the island. It’s across from the beach, so you can get your recreation in, and next door to Central YMCA, which can serve as your rainy day Plan B. Another huge plus: There are 179 guest parking stalls.
Unit 810 is a new listing and is having its first open house this Sunday, and fits the bill for many of the people who have been inquiring about a nice place to live in Honolulu. It has one bedroom and one bathroom, but is a spacious 1,052 square feet—almost twice the size of most metro Honolulu one-bedroom units—which includes the enclosed lanai.
It was remodeled in 2011 with hardwood kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, ceramic flooring, washer/dryer and freshly painted walls. It doesn’t come with the furniture, but other than that, you could move right in. (Click here for details.)
Happy house hunting!
