In Yacht Harbor Towers, to get up to the penthouses on the 40th and 41st floors, you have to get off the elevator at 39, then take stairs to access them. This week’s open house pick is located on 39, the highest floor that’s flat from the elevator.

Once inside, you have a 1,605-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit that’s as big as (or bigger than) some single-family homes, and a separate guest suite off its private foyer. The wraparound unit has views from three sides: ocean, city and mountain.

It’s in turnkey condition so you can move in as soon as the sale closes, since it’s hardly been lived in by its offshore owner. And despite that, it’s still modern looking, since interior decorator Mark Masuoka was brought in at one point to completely gut and renovate it with neutral light wood and stone.

The MLS remarks say it’s conveniently close to Ala Moana Center and the park, but how convenient? I checked on Walkscore, it ranks an impressive 94 points out of 100. This is one way to be close to all the action in a luxury unit, but not pay a premium: At less than $750 per square foot, this is half the going price of the newer Ala Moana Boulevard condos with a direct ocean view, making it a great value for even a luxury buyer.

This listing will be open on Sunday, Feb. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. Click here for details.

Happy house hunting!
