Office Accessories: Big in Japan
|
You’d never know it from glancing in the window, but past its wall of plush Rilakkuma bears, past its rows of kanji-topped magazines, tucked away in the far back corner of Hakubundo’s new Ward location, is a covetable stash of office accessories, writing tools and art supplies. In the mix: antique-inspired brass index tabs rife with old-world charm, beautifully finished pencils and ballpoint pens, and slim notebooks made of high-quality, acid-free paper. The bookstore also stocks gorgeous watercolor palettes and stylish desk toppers, including architectural, paper globes that can be reassembled into different formations. It’s all imported from Japan, and all well worth the few extra steps. Hakubundo, Ward Centers, 947-5503.
