These seasonal specials will be around for a limited time. Try these Halloween and Fall treats before it’s too late!
Butternut Squash Frittata

We spotted a few seasonal dishes at Kaimukī Superette. We grabbed the last slice of this frittata baked with kale, butternut squash and goat cheese. It’s got a slight peppery kick on the first bite, and we’d order this again. Keep an eye out for this dish and other seasonal dishes, depending on the availability of ingredients.

Warm Pumpkin

We stopped by Livestock Tavern for lunch and ordered the Warm Pumpkin: roasted pumpkin dusted with cinnamon all-spice on a bed of microgreens, blue cheese and pumpkin seeds. Livestock will be serving this dish until November, so we’ll be back for more.

Halloween treats

If you’re looking for a break from typical drug-store Halloween candy, check out the treats at See’s Candies. We fell in love with these adorable smiling pumpkin and ghost Halloween orange and chocolate creams, which reminded us of creamsicles. Wouldn’t it be fun to hand out these colorful chocolates and lollipops on Halloween?

Pumpkin Tart

Can’t finish an entire pumpkin pie by yourself? Try this delicious tart layered with soft custard, pumpkin and pumpkin seeds.

Halloween Macarons

We stumbled upon these super-cute Halloween-themed macarons by accident. Cake Works artist Hope Gonzalez spends about an hour every day hand-painting 20 of these macarons in the spirit of Halloween. We couldn’t resist ordering the jack o’ lantern pumpkin spice, candy corn, mummy peanut butter and vanilla Sally from—you guessed it—Nightmare Before Christmas. “Those are so cute!” a woman exclaimed as we captured this photo. We couldn’t agree more.

Pumpkin Spice Oreos

There are Oreos. And then there are pumpkin-spice Oreos covered in dark chocolate. Each one comes in a plastic package, so you can easily give this cool treat as a gift or enjoy it later—dunked into a nice, cold glass of milk.
