New Shop: Big Bad Wolf Store in Ward Village Shops
Kids' wear and grown-up goodies abound at this hip little shop.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who hadn’t a thing to wear. Or, rather, she hadn’t a thing that lived up to her high standards of edgy street wear and her urban-art-inspired aesthetic. Things were looking Grimm.
Thank goodness for Amy Wong, the girl’s fairy godmother—er, mother—who has a magical eye for style and a fabled creative streak. She decided to take matters into her own hands and start Big Bad Wolf, an apparel line for “unordinary” kids, ages 2 to 10, that specializes in witty tees and wild graphics. A wave of her wand (and a year of hard work, collabs with artists, and pop-ups with Pow! Wow! Hawai‘i) later, the brand is moving on to the next chapter—a slick, new boutique in Ward Village Shops. And the best part? It’s not just for kids.
Step into the sharp shop, and you’re sure to be charmed by the dynamic, monochrome mural and vintage Mortal Kombat arcade machine (bring quarters to get in on the action). Feeling like a kid yet? In addition to Wong’s Big Bad Wolf line, you’ll find bewitching adult apparel brands such as RVCA, Knockaround and Raised By Wolves, plus a collection of modern art-inspired books, young-at-heart knick-knacks, and toys for grownups. Think a stock of coloring-book-style art prints for adults, adorable wooden play food—even a giant, kawaii stuffed musubi that’s totally for sale.
Check out all the charming gear at the shop’s grand opening, happening this Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. (look for more info in our Weekend Picks post this Friday), for a seriously happily-ever-after ending to your weekend.
In fact, it’s enough to make you go “bibbity bobbity booyah!”
