Beautiful Mu‘umu‘u Worn at Mu‘umu‘u for the Museum 2025

January may be Mu‘umu‘u Month, but that didn’t stop guests from showing out in their alohawear finest at this year’s Mu‘umu‘u for the Museum event, which took place on May 31 at Kaimana Beach Hotel.

Hosted by Daughters of Hawai‘i, a local nonprofit dedicated to historic preservation in Hawai‘i, the annual fundraiser is always a draw for its celebration of Hawaiian fashion and culture, which manifests as an evening of music, mākeke and fantastic mu‘umu‘u.

Festivities included a pop-up market, bouquet bar and live music by Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning artist Kamakakēhau Fernandez. And guests enjoyed a fashion show by Puamana Crabbe Designs, Princess Kai‘ulani Fashions and TAV Pacific.

This year’s event theme, He Pili Pa‘a: A Union of Love, Leadership and Legacy, honored the 1856 wedding of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, known for their cultivation of healthcare, education, art and spiritual well-being in Hawai‘i.
