Most Wanted: Stalk the Runway

It's 3 a.m. Our faces are pressed to the computer screen as look after dreamy look flashes past. A puddle of drool collects next to the keyboard.

You probably weren't as crazy as we were during New York Fashion Week. We totally get it. So, sleep deprivation aside, we've picked out some of our favorite shows from the past week to bring you up to speed.

Set aside some napkins. You might need them.

[Stacey's Pick] Yes, Libertine's 2013 spring collection does "smack you in the face" (as Terri puts it), but I kind of like that. As everyone knows, I love to mix-n-match prints, and although Libertine takes it to the extreme with bold plaids, watercolor drops and spring blooms, this is what I think New York Fashion Week is about – pushing the limit on ready-to-wear. And, if you look beyond the Muppet hairdos, the individual cuts and prints of each piece support the artistic eye and supreme talent of Johnson Hartig. (Click for full gallery.)

[Stacey's Pick] No, it's not because I was a huge Dawson's Creek fan. Ahhh, Joey. I actually really liked Holmes & Yang's Fashion Week debut. The presentation revealed basic pieces – A-line dresses, pleated cropped pants, quilted bomber jackets – elevated by luxurious fabrics in sexy, sophisticated cuts. My fave: the black cami (I believe it's leather) with silk button-down (or not) maxi skirt. It gives off an effortless, sophisticated look that leaves little to the imagination. Who knew that a little girl from a small coastal town would make it to New York Fashion Week. (Click for full gallery.)

[Terri's Pick] Gladiator sandals aside, Joseph Altuzarra's runway show was simply stunning; a mix of textiles, prints and a swathe of scarves in silhouettes that were perfectly draped and expertly tailored. My favorites here: a sleek shirtdress with a graphic, printed skirt and waist-cinching "cummerbund," and all the structured motorcycle-meets-military coats with upturned collars, detailed seams and asymmetrical zippers. [Terri's Pick] Mark Badgley and James Mischka took inspiration from A Midsummer Night's Dream when designing Badgley Mischka's latest collection, and the result certainly is dreamy. Fabrics shimmer in soft shades of ballet pink, ice blue and gold. I love the twist of a tuxedo jacket tucked into a brocade skirt, a fitted sequin-encrusted sweat pant – I actually did a double take – and evening gowns that are effortlessly elegant. [Brie's Pick] Helmed by Steven Alan and Kate Spade alum Whitney Pozgay, Whit has got the mix-n-match trend down pat, effortlessly marrying lattice tees and silky shirtdresses with floral-print trousers, paperbag shorts and paneled skirts. And while the clothing was undeniably drool-worthy, the collection's accessories nearly stole the show. Think basket-weave circle bags topped with neon stripes, tropical-print chukkas, and patent leather huaraches in punchy coral. Need we say more? (Click for full gallery.)

[Brie's Pick] A former graphic designer, Laurent Moffatt's collections can always be counted on for playful, offbeat prints and really interesting architectural elements. Infused with a '70s-prep vibe, her Spring 2013 range kept in step with a mix of breezy frocks, cropped, lightweight schoolgirl blazers and button-up rompers. (Click for full gallery.)
