Re: Account Cancellation
Dear Evite,
Sure, we had a good thing going, for a while. You were there for me during the Bad Sweater Party of 2006, when somehow I invited more than 500 people (thank goodness only 100 replied “I’ll drink to that”). Then there was the Heroes and Villains Halloween limousine coordination of 2007—I couldn’t have organized payments without you.
The point is, it’s not you—it’s me. I thought I wanted to send invitations and cards only through the Internet, getting instant replies and never addressing an envelope. But then one day, things changed. I thought about my wedding day and I just couldn’t imagine saying ‘I do’ with you.
So I’ve partnered with Oh My Mia instead. Sure, this custom stationer isn’t a big national player like you, but they do use actual paper. And Honolulu graphic designer Merriam Fontanilla handcrafts each piece with charming detail. Her beautifully printed custom square wedding invitations—like an adorable poppy theme in lehua-like orange tones—cuddly lavender elephant birth announcement and decorative all-occasion note cards (one with a Swarovski crystal accent), just make me want to celebrate.
Okay, I take it back.
It is you.
