Meritage Wine Dinner at Ruth's Chris

Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Restaurant Row will host a Meritage Wine Dinner on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The Meritage dinner is the first of a series of wine dinners planned for the restaurant.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with guest sommelier, Alan Suzuki of CWUS Hawaii, providing the information about the pairings. The dinner will consist of 6 courses and wine pairings for each of the courses.

Dinner begins by showcasing one wine against two unique creation and continues with a number of delicious selections and various pairings to match and compare.

Smoked Salmon served with warm fingerling potatoes and finished with a tobiko yuzu butter sauce

Second course
Grilled lamb lollipop encrusted with chopped pistachios and Dijon mustard, accompanied with a goat cheese fritter
Paired with Estancia Meritage 2006 and Blackstone Rubric 2006

Signature Filet Ala Ruth, wrapped with apple bacon and topped off with Boursin cheese and crispy Hawaiian taro, served with sweet island corn and garlic mashed potatoes
Paired with Clos Du Bois Marlstone 2005 and Franciscan Magnificat 2005

Fourth Course
Baked Brie complimented with an elegant Island passion fruit and strawberry sauce
Paired with OPUS ONE 2004

Grand finale
Fresh berries and Ruth’s sweet cream sauce served in a chocolate basket
Paired with Robert Mondavi Moscato D’oro 2008

The Meritage wine dinner is offered at $95 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
