Mariposa Celebrates Statehood

In commemoration of 50 years of statehood, and to celebrate Ala Moana Center’s 50th birthday, Mariposa restaurant has launched a special prix fixe menu.

Mariposa will offer a special $19.59 lunch menu, which is priced for the year both Hawaii became a state and Ala Moana Center opened. The $19.59 lunch menu starts with Mariposa’s famous popover and consommé soup. The entrée choices, which change weekly, include a Pork Porterhouse or Baby Spinach & Pipikaula Salad. Dessert is an Upside-Down Pineapple Cake served with Coconut-Pineapple Ice Cream.

The restaurant will also offer a special dinner menu for $50 to commemorate each of those two 50th anniversaries.
The 4-course dinner starts with a Roasted Hauula Tomato Bruschetta and Kahuku Corn Chowder. For your entrée, you have a choice of:

  • Pan Roasted Pork Chop with Hamakua mushroom barley, grilled peach & house-cured bacon
  • Pan Seared Salmon with potato gnocchi, smoked prosciutto, split pea pearls & warm sherry mustard vinaigrette
  • Braised Short Rib

Then for dessert, a decadent Butterscotch Macadamia Pie drizzled with butterscotch sauce & coconut praline.

The offerings on the prix fixe lunch menu change weekly and are only available Monday through Saturday. The dinner menu is offered every night of the week. These special menus will be available through the month of August.
