Kore Kai Liow
REALIZING THE DIRE NEED for neuroscience care in the community, Dr. Kore Kai Liow founded Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience in 2009 to make a difference in Hawaii. An innovator and entrepreneur who challenges the status quo, Dr. Liow is known for his pragmatic approach to problem-solving and believes that problems can be opportunities for growth.
Today, HPN has a national reputation for providing top-quality care to over 20,000 patients annually and has brought more than 150 groundbreaking neuroscience research therapies to Hawaii, eliminating the need for patients to travel to the Mainland for cutting-edge care. Dr. Liow holds the position of Clinical Professor of Medicine (Neurology) and Graduate Faculty in Clinical and Translational Research at UH JABSOM, where he was awarded the 2021 John M. Hardman, M.D. Award for Mentoring in Teaching. Dr. Liow’s mission of “giving back” is carried out by HPN’s dedicated team of 50+ staff members, who provide care regardless of insurance. He and his team volunteer their time to mentor future physicians by providing clinical rotations and allow them to engage in
numerous research projects.
