A member of the Children’s Doctors of Hawaii team since 2011, board-certified pediatrician Dr. Tawni Gesteuyala is proud to offer dedicated, compassionate care to keiki that begins at birth and continues through their transition into adulthood. Joined by partners Dr. Derek Ching and Dr. Malia Rasa, plus a team of skilled medical assistants, she feels honored to be able to accompany each of her young patients on their journey through childhood. “I really enjoy watching my patients grow and thrive,” says Dr. Gesteuyala. “Each one truly becomes a part of the Children’s Doctors ‘ohana.” She approaches pediatric care as a partnership with families and feels blessed for the opportunity to learn from her patients with each visit.

Dr. Gesteuyala was born and raised on the Windward Side of O‘ahu and graduated from UCLA before attending the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine, completing her residency training and chief residency with the UH Pediatric Residency Program. When not having fun at her second home at her office in Kapahulu, she enjoys surfing, the outdoors, traveling (which she is eager to be able to do again), and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
