School's back in session and, whether or not you have a wee (or not-so-wee) one in the backseat, you're sharing the road with tens of thousands of backpack-toting, pencil-pushing students.

There's no better reason to get in the school spirit with 10 songs that channel a peppy, back-to-school vibe (not coincidentally, most of these artists are still "school-age" themselves). For extra credit, study our factoids to get the 411 on the cool music-making kids nowadays.

Prepare to go full-on guilty pleasure mode with these class acts:

1. Slow DownSelena Gomez
Her on-again, off-again ex may not be doing so well, but this former Disney Channel star seems to have no problem shedding her own teen image with a sexy debut solo album.

2. Best Song EverOne Direction
We don't know what we love more – the song's catchy tune or fun pre-music video vignette showcasing all five UK boy-banders playing crazy (and one cross-dressing) alter egos.

3. Popular SongMika ft. Ariana Grande
Her single, "The Way," is a Top 40 hit, but we prefer Ariana Grande's duet with British singer-songwriter Mika, based on a number from one of our favorite musicals, Wicked.

4. What About LoveAustin Mahone
You may have never heard of him, but this YouTube star-turned-pop singer-turned opening act for Taylor Swift has more than 3.5 million followers on Twitter (fans call themselves Mahomies).

5. Made in the USADemi Lovato
She sported crazy blond hair and spiky getups last season, but this X Factor judge looks refreshingly all-American in her newest music video, which she also co-directed.

6. GoldVictoria Justice
Now that her debut single is out, here's hoping Nickelodeon actress Victoria Justice finds the same musical success as her former Victorious co-star, Ariana Grande.

7. How Ya Doin'?Little Mix feat. Missy Elliott
This girl group won the eighth season of Britain's The X Factor and shows no sign of slowing down with a fun, bubblegum collab featuring Grammy Award-winning rapper Missy Elliott.

8. Try Hard5 Seconds of Summer
This Australian pop rock band hasn't dropped an album yet, but they're already huge down under – after a successful stint opening for One Direction, its summer tour sold out within minutes.

9. Ooh La LaBritney Spears
Say what you want about Britney – this pop icon has managed to do it again, combining her two adorable sons, Smurfs, and Katy Perry singing back-up vocals, all in one successful song.

10. CruiseFlorida Georgia Line ft. Nelly
We knew we had to cross the pop border once we heard this country music duo's toe-tapping number, remixed with Grammy Award-winning rapper Nelly.
