If You Build It, They Will Come
What: Help create a new public, indoor gathering space in Kakaako for all your studying, creating, working and thinking needs. Renowned architectural firm Atelier Bow-Wow will design the project, called Kakaako Agora.

What: Fishcake’s newest exhibit features ceramics by Cory Lum, hand-sewn wares by Donna Miyashiro and textiles by Darius Homayounpour, all infused with indigo, either local or imported.

The Life Aquatic
What: Help the Waikiki Aquarium and UH Manoa’s Department of Botany separate native algae from invasive algae, which is damaging to the ocean ecosystem. Coffee and snacks will be provided to volunteers who don’t mind getting wet.
When: Saturday, February 15, 9–11 a.m. Check in at 8:45 a.m.
Where: Meet behind the Waikiki Aquarium, 2777 Kalakaua Ave., at the banyan tree by the back fence.

What: Chef Chris Okuhara will bring his culinary venture, Miso & Ale, to Cocina Hawaii for a One Night Stand pop-up collab with Chef Quinten Frye, featuring an a la carte menu (five bucks says the “surprise, surprise!” is chitlins). There will also be a limited amount of event T-shirts for sale.
