Sadly, there are things in life that are practically impossible to achieve.

Winning the $550 million Powerball lottery jackpot (although you are contemplating a move to Missouri). Demolishing an entire dessert buffet and not gaining a pound. Getting your complexion to turn as smooth as a baby's bottom without extensive visits to the dermatologist or esthetician.

Whoa, hold the phone. That last one can actually come true right now.

Presenting Le Métier de Beauté's CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set, arriving this week at Neiman Marcus – two products designed to give you energized, hydrated, glowing skin in the comfort of your own home. We received a tutorial at the Le Métier de Beauté counter, then gave both a test drive at home – which you can now also do (all in the name of research, of course). Below are our findings.

Lei Chic {Step 1 – The Peel}

The Claim: A blend of salicylic and glycolic acids that gently penetrate the top layer to reveal younger looking skin.
The Process: In store, the specialist applied the peel – a light, translucent gel – with a brush. At home, we used clean fingertips (the sample didn't come with a brush, although the actual product does) without any problems. Once on, we detected a slight warming sensation, then, after a few minutes, removed the peel with a damp washcloth.

Lei Chic {Step 2 – The Mask}

The Claim: A concentration of antioxidants, vitamins and hydrators that help skin renew, rebuild and improve its overall appearance.
The Process: We applied a layer of the thick, slightly sticky mask, then let it dry for at least five minutes before removing. In store, the specialist peeled the mask off then followed up with a toner-drenched cotton pad. At home, we just wiped the mask off with a damp cloth to save time. Tip: Keep the mask in the refrigerator for a cooling, soothing effect.

{The Final Verdict}

Using both in tandem and on a regular basis left us feeling refreshed with smoother, softer skin. Red areas looked slightly less red, and skincare and makeup glided on smoothly. Best of all, application was easy and could be done in between other tasks.

Like working our mainland lottery ticket-buying connections.

It's all about keeping those dreams alive.

$265 for the set, available at Neiman Marcus, Ala Moana Center. In-store demo and samples are free.
