We hate to do this, but well, sooner or later you're going to have to accept the truth.
Independence Day is the greatest holiday of the year.
Just think about it. What other holiday gives you 1) an entire day off to eat and drink as much as humanly possible; 2) the chance to see massive explosives detonate in the sky; 3) a reason to dress up (because you look so fierce in red, white and blue); and 4) lots of presents; all rolled into one?
