Kira Hawai‘i Just Launched A Cute New Clothing Line for Mom and Keiki

We’ll take one of everything in this cute local mommy-and-me line.
Kids Bailee Dress, $58, Nahla Tank, $48, Boogie Shorts, $74

Here at the magazine our affinity for Kira Hawai‘i’s minimal-chic jewelry runs deep. That’s because designer Sheri Kira has a knack for dreaming up silhouettes that are dynamic and eye-catching while being—our favorite—completely unfussy.

So, when we heard that Kira would be launching Paradiso, a clothing line for moms and minis with that same effortless sensibility, we were totally there for it.

Inspiration for diving into the apparel world came from Kira’s own growing family. “I have a daughter and another one on the way and I think it’s the sweetest thing to have mommy-and-me outfits,” she says. “Bailee loves it when she can match me, so I really wanted to create pieces that we could love for a long time and have memories with together.”

The line’s debut collection stars a flirty all-over lily print set against rustic green and sunset red hues. Moms score five styles, including two swingy knee-length dresses with cap and three-quarter sleeves, a harem-style jumper with a deep V-neckline, a scoop-neck racerback tank and a pair of pleated shorts. Girls get one ultra-adorable tank dress that flares at the waist—not too much, just enough for twirling—and runs from size 3 months to 6-7.

All are made from a soft, stretchy rayon-spandex fabric and all (except the tank and girls dress) boast handy side pockets—musts according to Kira. “In my younger days, I would suffer a little bit for fashion, but now, being older and a mom, I want to look good but feel better,” she says. “It’s so important to me that what I wear is comfortable. If not, I know I’ll hardly wear that particular piece.”

“I’m sure other women feel the same way too. We want what we wear to look good and feel good, and then we can conquer the world!”
