Kahala Food & Wine Classic This Weekend
The Kahala Hotel and Resort will present the next edition of the Kahala Food & Wine Classic this weekend, September 17 & 18, 2010.

The themed culinary weekend will present a "taste of New York" by welcoming a Big Apple landmark restaurant, Tribeca Grill, with co-owner Drew Nieporent and executive chef Stephen Lewandowski cooking alongside the Kahala’s executive chef Wayne Hirabayasi and participating in an number of events throughout the weekend.
The Food & Wine Classic includes gala dinners, a dynamic cooking demonstration, wine tastings and a cigar seminar with wine selections from the award-winning Far Niente Winery in Oakville, Napa Valley and cigars from Davidoff.

Friday, September 17-
Tribeca Goes Hawaiian Reception and Dinner
Tribeca Grill’s executive chef Stephen Lewandowski blends fresh Hawaiian produce with his New York flair over five courses. Lewandowski’s dishes will be paired with wines from Far Niente, EnRoute, and Dolce. Intros by Tribeca Grill’s Drew Nieporent and Far Niente’s Larry Maguire.
Tickets are $150 per person. Hosted from 6:30 – 10 p.m. on the Koko Head Lawn

Cooking Demonstration: The Secrets of the Tribeca Grill Kitchen with Chef Stephen Lewandowski
Get up close and personal with chef Lewandowski and learn about his earthy, elegant contemporary cuisine. Event cost is $80 per person which includes a three-course lunch. Offered from 11.a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Maile Ballroom.
A True Taste of New York Finale Reception and Dinner
The gentlemen from New York show why the world yearns to go east and revel in the variety and tastes of their great town. Drew Nieporent and Chef Stephen will craft five courses of New York’s finest dishes superbly accompanied by the wines of Nickel & Nickel and Dolce.
Offered for $150 per person from 6:30 – 10 p.m. on the Koko Head Lawn
