Jana Lam’s New Luxe Collection
Take a peek at these leveled-up pieces from one of our favorite local designers.

The cilantro garnish on your bowl of gazpacho.
The funky fringe on your patent brogues.
The expiration date on your driver’s license.
Sometimes, it’s the little details that count, especially when it comes to your closet. A soft material here or a dash of bling there can take you from ho-hum to va-voom in no time flat. Buttery soft fabrics? Subtle pops of on-trend shades? That’s what dreams are made of.
Local designer Jana Lam totally gets it. She’s already stolen our hearts time and time again with her punchy prints, versatile clutch designs and reversible fabrics, but this weekend she’ll be turning it all up at the Made in Hawai‘i Festival with her brand-new Luxe by Jana Lam collection. All these pieces have a wealth of high-end additions that you’ll love, including brass hardware, and leather straps that are all crafted, sanded and pounded by hand. Instead of her previous go-to textile, a plain cotton ticking fabric, she’s upgraded to a soft micro-twill and rustic, woven material called Osnaburg.
The finished line includes cross-body zipper clutches and bucket totes (incidentally, one of our favorite bag styles of the season) in Lam’s signature, cheerful prints. Think pretty shells in a soft pastel-rainbow palette, chunky, playful shark teeth in sunny yellow, and serene, pink palm leaves. Lam’s even playing with a small run of gold-foil-printed patterns that will give you some real good luxe. Check out the luxurious debut at the Made in Hawai‘i Festival, or visit her online store later to snag these seriously stylish accessories.
Talk about going bags to riches.
