Introducing The Hive Co-working Space
Abuzz With Ideas

The bzzz of a constantly ringing doorbell at home, the sting of noisy espresso machines at coffee shops, droning cubicle life … it’s amazing you get anything done at all in this bumbling mess.
Enter The Hive Hawaii, the new members-only co-working space that husband-and-wife team Kameron and Sloane Ketchum have created. They’ve transformed their Kailua boutique, Maya Bella, into a place where busy bees can bounce ideas off workers from other industries, use amenities that include a projector and conference room, and experience the events, workshops and pop-ups that The Hive has planned.
And don’t worry, Maya Bella lovers, the boutique has blossomed into a once-a-month pop-up at the space. The first of these fashion events will take place at the end of May and will feature the theme #reallymadeinhawaii. It will focus on helping local designers network with retailers and manufacturers to create a swarm of community support for Hawaii’s fashion creators.
The Hive is currently accepting applications for memberships, and will be hosting its first networking mixer this Thursday for those who want to see what all the buzz is about and meet the hiveminds behind the space.
Co-working, -learning, -living? Talk about the bee’s knees.
The Hive Mixer is $10 for non-members, a real honey of a deal, abd takes place Thursday, April 26 at 5:30 p.m. at 111 Hekili St., Kailua, 262-3300.
