Have you ever heard of the Kapi‘olani House condo? If you are in real estate, probably. If you are a layman like me, probably not.

From the outside, Kapi‘olani House is not a building that exudes state-of-the-art design or makes you wonder what’s inside—which makes it a bit of a sleeper. Not too many people know it offers units the size of this week’s open-house pick.

Unit 303 is 1,200 square feet with an open floor plan, making it the size of many single-family homes. The corner unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two parking stalls in the garage. There are only four units per floor, so it’s fairly private.

Even with a 70-percent owner-occupant ratio, the pool and barbecue area doesn’t get used much by its residents, so, if you like to entertain, this may be the place for you.
