(Partner Content) Two 2023 Hale ‘Aina award-winning restaurants gathered on March 13 to bring an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind dining experience for First Hawaiian Bank Mastercard holders.
For more than 40 years, the Hale ‘Aina Awards have recognized hundreds of extraordinary restaurants and talented chefs. Now, with a new partnership with First Hawaiian Bank and Mastercard, HONOLULU Magazine is celebrating restaurants in a bigger, better-than-ever way.
The Hale ‘Aina collab dinner series presented by First Hawaiian Bank and Mastercard is part of a year-long culinary celebration taking place this year and is a special event available only to First Hawaiian Bank Mastercard holders. The series kicked off on Wednesday, March 13, at The Pig & The Lady, our 2023 Hale ‘Aina Gold winner for Best Vietnamese, where chef Andrew Le crafted an exclusive five-course menu showcasing his eclectic Viet-fusion style. Mixologist of the evening was Jen Ackrill of Hau Tree—which won this year’s Hale ‘Aina Gold for Best Outdoor Dining—who paired each dish with artisan cocktails infused with complex notes and Asian tones. At the end of the night, each guest took home a special First Hawaiian Bank swag bag.
