I was stoked to find out that after initially closing, Kaimukī Superette, Town and Mud Hen Water reopened as one awesome curbside pickup spot dubbed Kaimukī Super Town Hen Water.

From Tuesday through Saturday, you can order from special dinner menus (updated and posted daily at noon) that include tasty soups, pastas, desserts and oh-so-‘ono 1+3 Plates—you choose one main and three sides from a drool-worthy list of options.

So far I’ve tried the pan-roasted opah and the pūlehu beef short ribs (my mouth is watering just thinking about them) and can’t wait to try the porchetta and pork ‘au. The rotating sides sometimes include favorites such as Superette’s roasted roots veggies Mud Hen’s popular beet poke with limu and mac nuts. And I’ve also seen MA‘O organic greens, cheesy grits and green papaya kim chee pop up on the menu. Yum!

Available 4 to 7 p.m., phone orders only, curbside pick-up at Kaimukī Superette, 3458 Waiʻalae Ave., (808) 734-7800.
