Holiday Wine Dinner at Du Vin

This month, Du Vin presents a number of special and holiday-inspired events, including seasonal menu and drink offerings and music.
Normal weekly events will take on a special holiday twist for the following dates.
Holiday Wine Dinner
On Monday, December 21, Brasserie Du Vin will host a Holiday Wine Dinner featuring five-courses paired with specially selected wines.

First Course
Fresh Oysters with Mignonette Foam
Paired with Protocolo Rose, Castilla, Spain 2008
Second Course
Chilled Lobster Salad with Yuzu Vinaigrette
Paired with Verget Meursault, Burgundy, France 2005
Third Course
Chestnut-Cranberry Stuffed Quail, Maple Yam Puree and Sage Beurre Blanc
Paired with Beckmen Vineyards ‘Cuvee Le Bec’ GSM, Santa Ynez Valley, California 2005
Fourth Course
Grilled Venison Tenderloin, Cauliflower Puree, Sauce Financiere with Fresh Winter Truffles

Dessert
Foie Gras Tornichon with a Mixed Berry Crepe and Marsala Reduction
Paired with Ice Wine Vidal, Niagara Peninsula, Canada 2006

Holiday Performance
On Wednesday, December 23rd, Du Vin will host a special holiday performance with Sonny Silva and the Hot Club of Hulaville featuring Ginai.
Enjoy lively European and Gypsy jazz and even some contemporary and show tunes. Get there early because they are a Du Vin favorite.
No cover. Starts at 7:00 p.m.
Holiday Wine Tasting
Then on Tuesday, December 29th, Du Vin will host a very special wine tasting – Champagne and Bubbles!
Eight sparkling wines from six different makers will be featured.

The tasting will cost $45 (plus tax and gratuity) and the tasting fee includes an Eisch champagne flute.
Here’s an idea of the featured sparkling wines and Champagnes and their makers:

- Delamonte
- Piper Heidsieck
- Charles Heidsieck
- Delbeck
- Placere
Plus, enjoy a special menu of appetizers to accompany the bubbly. Seating limited to 30.
