Hygge sweaters and holiday pajamas aren’t the only fashions on our minds this winter. The season’s dipping temps also have us dreaming of sun-drenched vacays and the breezy styles that come with. Take Marina & Co., for example, the little Diamond Head-based label whose floaty boho dresses and laid-back rompers have been fueling our wanderlust.

Designer and Japan transplant Y. Marina Palazzo launched the line in 2018, spurred by a desire to create apparel that makes women feel at ease. The sentiment shines through beautifully in her natural fabric choices—cloud-soft crinkled cottons, airy linens and lightweight rayon. Each piece is handmade in Bali, the pretty blossom patterns inspired by memories of her mother’s flower garden.

For fall 2019, Palazzo took the seaside nomad as her muse, crafting mosaic-print maxi dresses in the deepest, inkiest blues, and nautically striped camis and shift dresses that offer nods to Brittany, France’s chic coastal region. She even rereleased her signature tank-style romper in a cool aqua hue that all but demands you kick off your shoes, amble down to the shore and explore.
