The Cat in the Hat at Barnes & Noble Booksellers. The store offers free story times every Saturday around 11 a.m.. sometimes with costumed character appearances.

Editor’s Note: Times were updated in March 2016.

Parents, how many times have you read Green Eggs and Ham? Five hundred? Five million? Me too. (I can recite it here or there; I can recite it anywhere. And in a house and with a mouse, and on a boat and with a goat.) And my kids will seemingly never tire of it. My point is, sometimes it’s nice to let someone else do the talking. Here on O‘ahu, there’s at least one free story time every day of the week – check out our list to find one near you.
