Governor Fasttrack?

So I'm reading over at Civil Beat about how Gov. Neil Abercrombie supports Senate Bill 755, which would allow the governor to exempt certain projects from the usual level of environmental review for the sake of speedier economic development in Hawaii.

Should such power come his way, I've got a crazy idea he could consider. What if we had, like, a boat that could go from island to island? A big boat. A boat in which we and our automobiles could travel as one, daily, from here to Maui, or the Big Island or even Kauai. A boat that could sort of ferry us around, if you will, for business and pleasure. Wouldn't that be super?
