Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi is getting ready to hit up your local neighborhood and grocery stores with Girl Scout Cookie sales. This year, the cookie program has a new flavor and bold, new packaging.

The new flavor? Lemon-Ups, a crispy, lemony confection baked with inspirational messages, such as “I am strong” and “I am an innovator.” Lemon-Ups replace Savannah Smiles, a citrus cookie that the organization retired.

You still can buy Samoas, Trefoils, Thin Mints and Tagalongs. (Chocolate-caramel-coconut, shortbread, chocolate-mint and peanut butter cookies.)

The redesign reflects the diversity and evolution of Girl Scouts. On the boxes are bright, cheerful photos of girls participating in robotics, canoeing, camping and other activities.

The worldwide Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls entrepreneurship skills, and all proceeds from local cookie sales stay here in Hawaiʻi to help fund future programs.

Cookie sales begin Feb. 22.
