Gillia’s Doing Swimwear Now: And It’s Cute As Hell

This is just our type.

Everyone remembers their first time. The rush, the excitement, the romance. Ooh la la, right? And here’s a flirty little secret: We are getting déjà vu.

In fact, we’re getting downright hot and bothered thinking about how good it’s going to feel slipping on these pretty new pieces from Gillia’s first-ever swim collection, which will be available online in early February. This breezy brand is no stranger to the beach babe fashion scene, with a lineup of coquettish rompers, strappy maxis and loose, floaty trousers that scream seaside stylish. This year, though, they’re taking this relationship to the next level—and we like what we see.

There’s something for everyone in this selection of swimsuits. Think soft, feminine florals on a sweet, ruffled bikini or plunging maillot for the girly girl in us all. Whimsical ladies will love the playful feel of striking black stripes or blue gingham on retro, high-waist bottoms and strappy tops. Looking for more of a timeless classic? We’re lusting over an elegant white number, a bandeau selection with sleek, understated texturing. Not to mention, a vintage-inspired halter one-piece, hot coral solids, orange geometric prints. In other words: a lot to love.

The Gillia team has always had a passionate love affair with the ocean, so swimwear was an obvious next step for the blossoming brand. For spring 2016, they looked to one of their other amours—the past—for a range of colors and silhouettes that will thrill fellow ladies with feminine and sophisticated appetites. They’re not leaving behind their first love, however: In the future, Gillia’s clothing and cover-up lines will still be the focus, with swimwear styles coming out for resort seasons.

Double the pleasure? Talk about what a girl wants.

$88–$108, available at gilliaclothing.com in early February.
