The federal government shutdown has prompted the closures of all of Hawaii’s National Park Service parks, monuments, trails and historic sites, until further notice.

The list of closed National Park Service sites includes three of the state’s most popular national parks—Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island, Haleakala National Park on Maui, and the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument at Pearl Harbor, Oahu—which collectively welcome thousands of visitors daily.
