Fashionista's Market opens permanent Chinatown boutique

Hello Good Buys

www.leichic.com
It’s 3 p.m. and you need a pick-me-up. Maybe a sweet little treat that you won’t feel guilty about later.

Forget the coffee shop pastry case, and the corner fro-yo shop. You want something that will flatter, not inflate, your booty.

Like a cute top or some new jeans to satisfy your shopping craving.

Good news. Fashionista’s Market, the seasonal blowout designer sample sale, is opening a permanent boutique near the corner of Bethel and Beretania streets — walking distance from the office if you want to scoop up a fun little dress on your lunch hour, or if you need a quick new outfit before heading out for pau hana.

The shop is small, but filled with racks of the not-too-expensive dresses, tops, and skirts from labels like Rock and Republic, Theory and others that the sample sales deliver in mass quantity. And just because the market has a home base now, it doesn’t mean the big Fashionista’s Market events are over. Owner Alyssa Fung still plans to hold big sale events seasonally, but she’ll also be filling up the calendar with mini-events at her new space, and keeping it stocked with inventory between sales.

The shop won’t be open for regular business hours until September, but you can get a sneak preview tonight at a special pre-renovation sale. You’ll have to shop amid unpainted walls and unfinished floors, but all regular-price merchandise is half off, and anything already marked down is an additional 30 percent off.

It’s a perfect way to treat yourself to a sweet deal.

Fashionista’s Market pre-renovation sale, tonight 3 to 10 p.m. and tomorrow 10 a.m .to 5 p.m. 1183 Bethel Street, Chinatown. For more information, go to www.fashionistasmarket.com
