Fashion designer needed to help a little girl
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which aims to make dreams come true for children with life-threatening diseases. One of the foundation's local recipients is 11-year-old Skylar Soares, and her wish is to create a line of sun-safe hats, inspired by the fact that she must wear a hat any time she's outdoors. A team of Hawaii Pacific University students has been helping her with her plans, but one key thing is missing: a local fashion designer to design a signature hat.
So… fashion designers of Honolulu, Skylar could use your help! If you're interested, you can contact HPU student Pitchanun "Foily" Wittayanont by email at foily.pitchanun@gmail.com or at 799-8814.
Malia Zimmerman of Hawaii Reporter is following Skylar's story. Her recorded interview with Skylar will air on Channel 54 next Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 pm. and the following Monday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 p.m.
