Get ready for the 2019 Kapolei City Lights launch party and Electric Lights Parade on Nov. 30!

 Frozen Scavenger Hunt (Dec. 21 to Jan. 4)

Stocking Ornament Workshop at Home Depot

Pochibukuro/Otoshidama Making
  • Noon to 1 p.m.
  • Japanese children frequently receive monetary gifts in little envelopes called “pochibukuro.” The New Year’s pochibukuro is called “otoshidama.” This pragmatic practice has other applications, as well. Evelyn Nakamura will show how to create 3 different, simple pochibukuro from found materials, then size them up for other purposes.
