It happened again. You managed to pry a bleary eye open this morning with one thought running through your mind. What the heck happened in the past 48 hours?

Yep. It was another one of those whirlwind weekends. You probably don't even remember stopping by Makkuro Makkuro and A Pinch of Salt in Kakaako. Lucky for you, we were also there. Feel free to examine a few snapshots from both events and discover where you can find those items now.

Turns out design runs in the family. Nel Ota, sister of menswear designer Ryan Ota, joins the Makkuro Makkuro fold with Lei Chartru, a line that includes colorful stamped leather earrings and plush handmade fabric clutches. Find out more about Nel and her creations here.

Mango Luxe's Amber Abinsay returned with elegant pieces like these gorgeous hoop earrings and beaded double-wrap bracelets. New to the pop-up: edgier statement necklaces with metallic spikes that will soon appear in her Etsy shop – if they haven't already sold out. So far, there are no plans for another Sunday edition of A Pinch of Salt, but expect a new round of local vendors to showcase their wares at Honolulu Night Market on Saturday, January 19.
