The elegant, white-attire-only affair known as Le Dîner en Blanc returns to Honolulu for a fifth year this Saturday, Sept. 1. Launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon celebrated on six continents. Each year, thousands of guests gather at a secret location for a magical evening of fine wines, food and dazzling entertainment.

Admission for two, plus two seats on an event bus departing from Kāhala.

One seasonal, white-and-green floral arrangement, courtesy of J’Adore Floral Designs.

One bottle of Taittinger Brut La Française Champagne, pale gold and persistent with bubbles, with delicate aromas of peach, white flowers, vanilla pod and brioche.

One 1-ounce Tsar Nicoulai Estate caviar, a brown-black caviar of medium-size eggs prized for its fresh rich flavor and creamy finish.
The winner will need to follow Le Dîner en Blanc guidelines, including wearing all white (no off-white allowed). The winner will also need to provide the following:

A table, two white chairs, white tablecloth.

A picnic basket comprising fine food, proper stemware and white dinnerware.

Champagne and/or wine. Beer and hard liquor are prohibited.
With the exception of seats, the prizes will be available at the event.
