The original deed fromthat time specifies that the property cannot be used for certain purposes, including saloon, poor house, prison or jail, poi shop, slaughter house, brewery, distillery or candy shop. Since this was created during the Prohibition Era, the deed forbids the sale of malt, vinous, spirituous or intoxicating liquors or any kind; however, the good news is, it doesn't forbid the consumption of alcohol, a restriction that can also be found in some older deeds. These deed restrictions run with the property and are as binding today as they were when they were first created.
