Editors' Picks: December 2012

Hand-picked gifts under Lei Chic's Christmas tree

Lei Chic

Here in the Lei Chic office, we're in full-on Christmas mode (check out our cheesy Christmas card)!

Stacey brought in the perfect tree, Brie's decorating it with handmade ornaments, Christi's compiling a holiday playlist on Pandora and Terri's handing out freshly-baked gingerbread cookies.

Also, there are presents everywhere. Not only are we hosting our own gift exchange today; we're actually rolling out gift guides all week long. So go ahead and sneak a peek. We won't mind. Just make sure you don't rip anything.

Digital gift wrapping can be so tough.

Lei Chic

[From: Brie] "Christi's wrap bracelet collection is thing of wonder — I swear she has one for every day of the month. I also know that she has nowhere to store them, squirreling them away in little drawstring bags. This gorgeous, gold-print lucite tray from Pencil Shaving Studio would look fab on top of her dresser and allow her to really show them off while making them easily accessible." $65, available on Etsy.

[From: Stacey] "I was shocked when Christi told me she doesn't own a single Coach bag (I must have at least a dozen in my closet). I'd share the love with this gorgeous Leather Colorblock City Willis, a vibrant crossbody bag in luxurious waxed Italian calfskin." $298, Coach, Ala Moana Center.

[From: Terri] "This gunmetal shirtdress with wooden button epaulettes and tie belt would be the perfect addition to Christi's work wardrobe. I can totally see her wearing it with a colorful statement necklace and (as Brie already mentioned) her favorite wrap bracelets." $115, Roberta Oaks, 19 N. Pauahi St.

Lei Chic

[From: Christi] "Stacey never passes up a good neon and I love the pop this Sunburst Necklace adds to the neckline of a simple white tee or a navy blazer. Here's the thing: I snatched it up on sale at Ann Taylor and it's no longer available (sorry), so I found a similar version on The Limited – also on sale!"

[From: Brie] "With all of the running around we do, a pair of comfy-yet-fashionable sneakers is a must in our closets. These Jeffrey Campbell Padua Wedges are right up Stacey's alley, featuring cool cut-outs, a hidden wedge for extra height and a fierce (literally) tiger-print." $188, NastyGal.com.

[From: Terri] "Okay, it may not be on the same level as Stacey's favorite runway looks from Libertine, but the fun mix of color and print in this Della Blocked Shift Dress is definitely more wearable." $282, CoreyLynnCalter.com.

Lei Chic

[From: Terri] "Brie has been hunting for an iPad case for some time now and I think that I may have finally found one she'll love. The bold chevron lines on this Griffin Folio Case will feed her graphic print addiction and the poppy, neon yellow trims add just the right amount of punch." $49.99, Best Buy, 478 Alakawa St.

[From: Christi] "I first went to Wanderlust + Co to snap up some super cute Hook-Leather Bracelets for Stace, but fell in love with these brushed Screw Stud Earrings for the queen of studs, Brie. They're edgy but delicate, totally wearable and so affordable that I can also pick up an armful of colorful thread and chain bracelets for me… er… Brie." $25, WanderlustandCo.com.

[From: Stacey] "I know that Brie's been eyeing Vogue creative director Grace Coddington's memoir Grace since it hit shelves a few weeks ago. A major fashion force, we all loved watching Coddington use her killer styling skills to create amazing editorials in The September Issue. In fact, I'll be borrowing it as soon as I can pry it away from her!" $19.02, Amazon.com.

Lei Chic

[From: Brie] "Terri is always on the lookout for a great jacket, so I think she'd appreciate this tailored, lace print blazer from Bellatrix. It's fun and eye-catching, yet neutral enough to wear with pretty much everything. Plus, I found it in the petite department, so I know it'll fit her perfectly." $108, Nordstrom, Ala Moana Center.

[From: Christi] "Here's a secret about Terri: she is accessories challenged. No, really. When she started at Lei Chic in April, I believe she had six pairs of earrings to her name. So, here's my pick. Not only are these shoulder-dusting Raise the Bar Chime Earrings by Wishing Bridge locally-made and designed, they're bold in an elegant sort of way. We'll need to schedule wearings though – both Brie and I own this pair already." $80, WishingBridge.com.

[From: Stacey] "This girl loves her coffee, but shelling out for constant Starbucks runs – not so much. I'd get her this Bodum Chambord Milk Frother and some bottles of flavored syrups so she'll have no problem making deliciously airy lattes at home." $39.95, Williams-Sonoma, Ala Moana Center.
