Eat local at Hiroshi

 

Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas has introduced a new "locally grown menu" with four courses featuring locally grown products.  This special menu is only available on Sunday and Mondays throughout the month of January. The menu features four-courses including a crispy Kauai shrimp and a sous vide of Kona cold lobster tail. It is available for $35 per person (not including tax and gratuity).

The next Contemporary Kaiseki at Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas will be on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Chef Hiroshi Fukui only does this special dinner 3 or 4 times a year.  9 Courses….ALL NEW dishes.  Highlights include a butter-poached razor clam, a cheese stuffed shiso rolled tonkatsu and even a POG Twinkie. Available for $75 a person (not including tax, gratuity or wines).  Seating will start at 5:00PM.  By reservations only. Call 533-4476 for reservations or more information.

 

Next door at VINO Italian Tapas and Wine Bar, chef Keith Endo is at work preparing an upcoming Communal Table on Thursday, January15, 2009. Everything is served family style, and for this table, chef will  be featuring a few of his all time favorite pasta dishes, using his own homemade pasta. Here’s a look at what’s on the menu:

* Lemon Pepper Linguine with clams
* Silk Handkerchiefs with crispy rock shrimp, pesto, Roma tomatoes & shaved Pecorino 
* VINO Chop Salad 
* Porcini Pappadelle with shredded braised short rib ragout 
* Dessert
