Drivers, This Eastbound H1-Freeway Offramp Will Be Closed From Oct. 18–20, 2017

Note to all night crawlers and Uber drivers: If you’re heading downtown and eastbound you may not be able to take your usual route.

Beginning Wednesday night, Oct. 18, through Friday morning, Oct. 20, the Punchbowl Street Off-Ramp (Exit 21B) on the H-1 Freeway will be closed in the Honolulu-bound direction from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for work on the guardrail and shoulder.

The Department of Transportation suggests alternate routes such as the Pali Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 21A).

Electronic message boards are posted to warn motorists of the closure. Special duty police officers will assist with traffic monitoring.

Emergency vehicles, first responders and TheBus are aware of the roadwork and will be the only vehicles allowed through the work zone.
