But once you’re done, pop over to the new beachside boutique Barefoot Dreams at Kaimana Beach. Just opened this summer, the cozy little shop inside the New Otani hotel opens right out to the beach park and feels like the airy, bright little bedroom of your dreams.

The boutique is the first flagship store for the Malibu label Barefoot Dreams, a line of sleepwear, hoodies and blankets made from bamboo-knit fabric that’s light as a feather and even softer to the touch. Along the shop walls, bureau drawers overflow with comfy, loungy pullovers, baby clothing and pillows. And, cubbyholes are stacked with ribbon-wrapped sets of robes, pillows and throws that are perfect for gifts.

Besides the shop’s namesake line, there are more ultra-soft nighties, pajama pants, T-shirts and towel sets from Japanese label Nanadecor, plus jewelry from North Shore designer Noelani, and soaps and bath products from Hawaiian Bath and Body, made at the Waialua soap factory.

Go on, pinch yourself. It’s a real-life little shabby-chic shop stocked with plush wearables only steps from the sand.
