Reyn Spooner is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year with a fashion show launching a special commemorative collection. On Thursday, July 7, join our fashion editors Brie Thalmann and Stacey Makiya at 5:15 p.m. at Ala Moana’s Center Stage as they stream the event live on Facebook and share other chic moments on our Instagram and Twitter.
Since first opening shop at Ala Moana in the ’50s, this local brand has helped place the aloha shirt on the fashion map. Reyn Spooner changed the fashion game when it created a relaxed-cool collection of button-down shirts with modern detailing and sleek fits—an elevated take on the loud prints and poorly constructed fittings the aloha shirt was known for. Sixty years later, Islanders still have the brand’s iconic reverse-print shirts rotated in their wardrobes on the regular.
Be the first to glimpse the new line. It will feature the same quality and comfort you know and love, with nostalgic retro prints, as well as newer, modern prints. It’ll be an evening of old school meets new cool, and there’s sure to be something for everyone.
The festivities keep on going after the fashion show with a special Reyn Spooner in-store event from 6 to 8 p.m. You can shop looks fresh from the runway, as well as other collections and accessories from the brand.
