Scenic Towers in Moiliili is apparently one hot property. I was alerted to this rare two-bedroom, one-bath condo, which hit the market last week, when I got a heads-up from a realtor who wasn’t even the listing agent. (Click here for details.)

What makes this a desirable property are a few factors. First, the price point is affordable. “The location is perfect,” says realtor Iku Honda of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. “It has a pool and is near the park. It’s a solid building.”

The 725-square-foot bright, corner unit commands cozy living, it'd be for a great first-time buyer or a family just starting out. Its kitchen could use a facelift, however it has a lot of storage space.

There is a stacked washer/dryer in the bathroom, so there’s no hauling overflowing baskets down to the ground floor on laundry day.

The location can’t be ignored. It’s close to TheBus lines and walking distance to lots of restaurants and two parks, Moiliili Park, where you can often see softball games being played, and Old Stadium Park, the former home of Honolulu Stadium, which now features picnic tables and a playground.

The property has a security patrol and requires a pass key for entry to the building and garage.
